PMAM apreende armas e munições após confronto com ‘piratas’ no médio Rio Negro
A Polícia Militar do Amazonas (PMAM), por meio da Companhia de Operações Especiais (COE), apreendeu seis armas de grosso calibre, durante ação conjunta com a Delegacia de Repressão a Drogas (DRE-AM) da Polícia Federal (PF), na noite de terça-feira (26/09), na região do médio Rio Negro, no município de Barcelos (distante 399 quilômetros de Manaus). A ação também contou com o apoio do 6º Grupamento de Polícia Militar (GPM) de Novo Airão e da Secretaria de Segurança Pública do Amazonas (SSP-AM).
O balanço da operação foi divulgado durante coletiva de imprensa, no Comando de Policiamento Especializado (CPE), localizado no bairro Dom Pedro, zona centro-oeste de Manaus, e contou com a presença do comandante-geral da PMAM, coronel Klinger Paiva; do chefe do Estado-Maior da PMAM, coronel Bruno Azevedo; do comandante do CPE, tenente-coronel Alysson Lima e do comandante da COE, capitão Adaumir Silva.
“Essa operação é uma resposta do Estado à população que estava sendo ameaçada por ‘piratas’ naquela região de Barcelos. Após recebermos várias denúncias de que eles estavam cometendo assaltos, nós determinamos que nossa equipe de inteligência, juntamente com a COE, deslocasse para o local, onde permaneceram por duas semanas e conseguiram fazer a abordagem”, disse o comandante-geral, coronel Klinger Paiva.
Ainda conforme informações da Polícia Militar, ao tentar realizar a abordagem, os policiais foram recebidos a tiros, revidaram a agressão e os suspeitos desapareceram.
Foram apreendidas durante a ação seis armasbda marca Taurus, sendo dois fuzis de calibre 5.56; duas sub metralhadoras de calibre 40, sendo uma Famae e outra G2; uma pistola calibre 380 e um revólver calibre 38; além de 218 munições de diferentes calibres; uma lancha e quatro aparelhos celulares.
O material apreendido está estimado em R$ 450 mil e será conduzido para a sede da DRE/PF.
O comandante do CPE, tenente-coronel Alysson Lima, destacou que equipes ainda estão em diligências no local. “Eles ainda estão no terreno, em Barcelos, continuando as operações para levar segurança para nossos ribeirinhos e turistas. Participaram da ação três equipes de Operações Especiais, duas regressaram, uma contínua, juntamente com o policiamento da área de Barcelos”.
